This stunning 2010 grad braved the nearly 100 degree heat - and never broke a sweat (which is more than I can say for myself!).

"M and J" are two of the silliest, giggliest, wiggliest little men I've every had the pleasure of photographing! I just adored their energetic and outgoing personalities! They had me cracking up during our entire time together.

The evening before our scheduled session date I sent these clients a little message to confirm that we were still on for our shoot the next day.
The next morning I recieved a text message that read:
"We're on like donkey kong!"
I was barely even out of bed (and certainly had not had my morning coffee) and I was already laughing histerically! Where have I been? Why have I never heard this saying? I'm definitely going to be adding this one to my cheesy comments repertoire! Thanks "D!"
Not only did my day start off on a good note, it also ended on one with this session. You can just see the anticipation and excitement in these expectant parents can't you? I completely enjoyed every minute I shared with this adorable couple! I cannot wait to meet their sweet baby girl who is SURE to be stunning - just like her mommy!

It's not a new product but it's DEFINITELY one that deserves a little attention!
If asked, I certainly have sugestions on which products I truly feel will give my clients the most enjoyment out of their portraits. Canvas is one of those products. Custom portrait photography is very different from your run-of-the-mill mall studio photography.
It's an experience. It's an investment. It's art.
You should love it!
I have yet to meet anyone who didn't LOVE their canvas! They are absolutely beautiful! Your image is printed on canvas, stretched around a 1.5 inch wood frame, professionally backed and ready to hang on your wall!
I recently visited a client's home to photograph their 24x36 canvas up on the wall. It made me so happy to hear that it's their favorite piece of art in the house!

This adorable family and I had such a great time together! I really enjoyed capturing their fun-loving and easy-going personalities!
Prior to portrait sessions I send out a booking form for my clients to fill out. The booking form has two main purposes: 1) To gather contact information for my own records and 2) It gives you an opportunity to tell me about your family and provide me with some input on how you would like your portrait session to look. This mom gave me some wonderful info. about her adorable children. She told me about their favorite games, colors, characters, etc. She also told me something that really stuck out in my mind - she told me that she wasn't looking for perfection in her portraits so much as personality and joy. I just LOVED that! Throughout our time together I tried to keep that one sentence in mind. I think we captured some real personality and joy! I hope mom and dad agree! Today's post has sentimental value because this flag belonged to my grandfather who, sadly, my kids never had the chance to meet. I was given the flag about a year ago and I've just been waiting for the perfect moment to take these shots! What better day than today? We ventured out this afternoon to pick some berries and have some photo fun!

Arriving just a few days behind schedule, ADORABLE baby "E" is here! I was so excited to visit her in the hospital (and take a few photos)!
At just 10 hours old I held her in my arms and the tears started rolling! I'm just so filled with joy for my dear friend and her family!
Congrats "H" family - she's beautiful ........ and I can't wait for "E's" first OFFICIAL photo shoot this week!

This beautiful belly belongs to one of the dearest friends I've ever known! She's the one I can call at ANY time of day or night (although the reception is much warmer if precious sleep is left undisturbed) with ANY silly question, story, worry or just to vent. She'll always tell it to me straight - even when it's not what I want to hear. On the flip-side, she's the QUEEN of justification and will most definitely (and sometimes most creatively) validate my every whim! Our conversations might make most people's heads spin, they go in so many directions, but we never miss a beat. A day just doesn't feel complete unless we've talked at least once (and usually more). Simply put, we just "get" each other! We have shared every BIG moment of our adult lives together and I know that's how it will always be.....
This is something I've been dying to try for awhile now....and I just LOVE how it turned out!
I'm so happy for you Emme! Enjoy every last minute of this time.......

The same goes back to you girlfriend! - But you also have the amazing ability to make me look beautiful in a photo - which is no easy task! Stop trying to make me cry - you know how I get when pregnant!
