One HOT Mama-2-be!

If this gorgeous mama-2-be looks a little familiar it's because I photographed her twin sister's maternity photos a few years ago. They are both just stunning and super sweet!

I got to do something new with this session. 'E' wanted some photos with her beautiful horse....who she barrel races when not pregnant (wow, I know)!

One of my most recent projects has been very different from my usual type of work....NO PEOPLE! Gasp!

I never thought I would do it ... but I actually kinda liked it!

This home was beautifully constructed by Stone Custom Homes and decorated by Design Interiors for the 2010 Salem Oregon Tour of Homes.

I had such a great time with this gorgeous 2010 high school grad!

The camera absolutely LOVES her! I think her style and personality really shine through in her photos!

One of the highlights of our session was this beautiful police horse. "M" wanted to take him home with her....not so sure he would make a good pet in the college dorms? lol.

Isn't he precious?!

He barely made a peep during his entire session! His older brother was definitely the easiest newborn I've ever photographed so I had high hopes for this little guy....and he delivered!

Here is sweet baby "E" at 9 (alright, actually 10) months old. Isn't she ADORABLE! This session was suppose to be done at 9 months but between weather and scheduling it didn't actually happen until she was 10 months old. I'm already starting to plan her 1 year photos - can't wait! It's so fun to photograph babies from before they are born (maternity photos) all the way through their first year! They grow and change so much and I love being able to document it all for their parents! Enjoy the sneak peek!

OH MY GOODNESS! This session was SO MUCH FUN! With three boys you would think it would have been a little crazy right? Nope. These three handsome guys were great for me! They really knew how to turn on the charm and win over this photographer, that's for sure! A big THANKS to the "L" family for having fun with my silly games last night! I just love so many of the shots we captured!

Baby on the way ....

This gorgeous mommy-2-be was so excited for her session a few weeks ago but was sadly stricken with a nasty case of the flu which put her into the hospital and threatened early labor! Thankfully, the contractions stopped and she was able to return home AND reschedule her maternity photos - PHEW! We got them done! I have to say I really enjoyed shooting this session. "H" is just so calm and easy-going. She's a real joy to work with! Lucky for me, this is the third time I've gotten to work with her. She has been a long time supporter of my work and a loyal client. Congratulations "R" family! I'm so excited to meet baby "A" and take his first photos!

The "A" Team .....

I am SO HAPPY that I was able to photograph this super fun family! Mom called me up just days before our session in hopes that I would be available to photograph her family of eight since this is the last time they will all be together for the next few years. It was late notice and I had to juggle some things around but we made it work! I'm so glad!

Mom calls this her "A TEAM" because each child's name begins with an "A." I won't even pretend that I could keep all the names straight because I couldn't. They were good sports about that though!

Family photography is something I really enjoy! I've photographed some amazing families! It's so fun to work with each person individually and then the group as a whole. Each person has their own unique personality. Some are shy, others enjoy every minute of their time in front of the camera. Then you get them all together and you see how each of them is like a piece to a puzzle. They just fit together!

Thank you "P" family for calling on me to photograph your family at this very special time in your lives. I know it will be awhile before you're all together again so I hope these photos will bring smiles to your faces while you're apart.

This sweet baby girl was so good for me on Saturday! She was sleepy and squishy and simply adorable!

Every new life is a blessing, this one especially so! I was thrilled to photograph her for her mommy and daddy. Moments like this should be captured to remember forever! Before you know it, they are losing their two front teeth, begging for their first ipod and painting their nails....trust me, I'm there! What I wouldn't give for photos like this of my babies!

The ONE!

The INSTANT I shot this image I looked up at little 'H's' mom and said "I want to see this one in canvas....BIG.....on MY WALL!" I wasn't kidding either. I love this shot! It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside!

This 12-day-old little guy wasn't as smitten with me as I was with him. We had a rough time getting to sleep and staying that way. BUT we did capture some beautiful images!

A special thanks to 'H's' mom and dad for inviting me to their home to share in their joy! I really enjoyed getting to know you. I look forward to capturing more family memories for you as 'H' grows!

Happy 2010 Everyone!

What better way to ring in the new year than with this adorable little face! We took advantage of a brief break in the rain to capture sweet baby "E" at six months. What a great age to photograph......just look at that smile!

Last bits of fall ....

I can hardly believe that I photographed this little man when he was just a few days old! He was HANDS DOWN the easiest newborn I have ever photographed! He slept through his entire session.....never waking when I moved him or even for feedings!

I left his house feeling like the baby whisperer!

So you can imagine how excited I was when "C's" mom contacted me about family photos! Of course at 2 years old "C" wasn't going to sleep through the entire session. In fact, I'm pretty sure he didn't hold still for more than 10 seconds during this session! We had a great time picking grapes we probably weren't suppose to pick, watching airplanes, bunny hunting and acting like pirates!

It was a real pleasure spending time with you "R" family! Enjoy the sneak peek!

Autumn is in the air!

This summer flew by so fast! It's hard to believe that Autumn is already here...but you can definitely feel it in the air!

This beautiful family and I got rained out on Saturday but we made up for it with beautiful weather on Sunday! I've known this couple for a lot of years....long before we all had kids. Now look at them with three handsome boys to complete their family. It was so much fun hanging out with the "L" family and catching up!
